It was January 2022 — the kind of freezing Prague evening that makes you question all your life choices. Petr and Lenka found themselves in the same place at the same time, which in hindsight was either fate or very poor planning. A conversation started. Nobody left. Classic.
What followed was a year of airports, WhatsApp calls at odd hours, and a mutual agreement that long-distance is extremely romantic in theory and absolutely exhausting in practice. They crisscrossed borders to see each other, racking up enough air miles to make a travel agent weep with joy.
Eventually, someone had to move. Texas won. Now Petr, Lenka, and their beloved dog Caramel live together in the Lone Star State — proof that love really does conquer all, including jet lag, relocation paperwork, and Caramel’s strong opinions about the sofa. The rest, as they say, is history.

The hotel and wedding venue are in one place, so you can stay and enjoy all the included amenities — from the wellness centre and restaurant to the beautiful château grounds. No need to travel between your room and the celebration!
Yes, Chateau Gbeľany has complimentary on-site parking for all guests. We also recommend using a rideshare service if you plan to enjoy the evening’s festivities fully — we want everyone to get home safely!
Absolutely — children are very welcome and we’d love to have them celebrate with us! If you are bringing little ones, please let us know in your RSVP so we can make sure everything is taken care of for them.
The dress code is Formal. We’d love to see you looking your best! Smart suits, cocktail dresses, and elegant gowns are all perfect. Please avoid wearing white or ivory, which we’d like to reserve for the bride.
The ceremony will take place in the grounds of Chateau Gbeľany, weather permitting. In the event of rain, we have a beautiful indoor backup plan ready. The reception will be held indoors in the grand hall.
Your presence on our special day is the greatest gift of all! However, if you would like to give a gift, a contribution towards our dream honeymoon would be greatly appreciated.
